TPM Inc. (TPM Group) was founded in 1991 and has been providing services to its clients for over 35 years. Based out of Bowling Green, Kentucky, the company’s corporate headquarters are located at 1731 River Street, Bowling Green, Kentucky 42101, with a southern office at 2433 Pulley Road, Nashville, Tennessee 37214, and a newly added location in Louisville, Kentucky, to better serve our northern clients. TPM is a family-owned business, owned and operated by Eddie and Joy Hanks, along with their three children, Allie Hanks-Sowell, Tate Hanks, and Hunter Hanks, who all work for the company.
TPM began in 1991 as a subsidiary of Hanks Construction Company of Bowling Green, Kentucky, initially providing underground storage tank (UST) removal and installation services. In 1993, the company became a Kentucky Corporation and expanded into full-service environmental work. By 1994, its capabilities grew with the addition of a drilling program and a 24-hour emergency response environmental team.
In 1998, TPM Group acquired property and permitted landfills for construction and demolition debris (C&D) disposal. Continued growth led to the formation of Apex Environmental in 2002, allowing operations based in Bowling Green, Kentucky, providing both waste solidification and centralized waste treatment (CWT) services.
Over the past 35+ years, TPM Group has grown from a local business into a regional leader, serving all of Kentucky, Tennessee, and Southern Indiana, as well as parts of Alabama, Illinois, and Mississippi. The company has also provided support for major environmental incidents, including the BP / Deepwater Horizon Gulf Coast spill and the Enbridge Pipeline spill in Michigan.
